About Beth Collins, MD

It was a lifelong dream for Dr. Beth Collins to become a surgeon. From the time she was a little girl growing up in Hamden CT, she watched her father, a well-respected general surgeon in the community, and she knew that was what she wanted to do. Her pathway led her from undergraduate study at Emory University in Atlanta to medical school in Dublin Ireland, where she graduated Cum Laude in the top ten out of over 200 students. Following medical school, Dr. Collins returned to complete a general surgery residency in North Carolina after which she completed her board certification in this field.

I visited Dr collins office today to discuss options for Botox or Dysport on my forehead and crows feet. The staff was very professional, the facility was very comforting with all of the latest new technology like TRL Laser, Sciton Laser, Botox, Dysport, Kybella, Microneedling, and Coolsculpting. Dr Beth Collins also has her own skin carer and lip balm line (a must to try). She is also the top plastic surgeon in the Northeast on multiple news channels as their medical expert. Five out of five stars for great product, great services and a great staff.

I had a breast reduction and lift a little over 4 weeks ago. I think in another month I will be really happy with the results. I was just not prepared for how long the healing process would take or how very, very painful the recovery would be. Initially, I was told I would only have an "anchor" cut/scar, no nipple removal or drains would be required. I was told I could return to my desk job in about 10 days. I was a full, very saggy DD and wanted to be a small C or full B. I woke up fully cut from under my armpits all the way across under my breast, then up to the nipple, nipple was removed and cut down to appropriate size and drains were put in. If I had known, I would have prepared and taken more time off of work, AT LEAST 2-3 FULL WEEKS instead of 10 days. You don't realize just how much you use your pectoral muscles doing office work. The pain has just been absolutely horrible. I have had multiple major surgeries (twin emergency C-section, another C-section, gallbladder removal, hysterectomy) also several tattoos (1 taking over 4 hours) so I can usually take pain. But the pain of all those things pale in complaisance to this procedure. I realize that the extra work was for my benefit and I do really think the "girls" will look really nice once all healed. Nipples are equal in size and level and breast are level and nicely shaped. Over all Dr. Collins did a wonderful job and I would definitely recommend her.

She is great unless you have a problem such as an infection. She seemed incompetent to deal with a serious infection and I quickly lost confidence in her as a practitioner. As soon as she was paid, she was "hands off." I wished I had gone to a more professional PS. Luckily, I have found someone to fix her mistakes.

Dr. Collins is absolutely amazing. Such a perfectionist! No wonder she is the best at what she does. Everything I have had done looks so natural. I started with a tight budget and she was so very fair. When I went back for my 2 week follow, up Dr. Collins "touched me up" here and there at no extra charge. It is apparent from the first visit that Dr. Collins truly enjoys what she does. I commend her for all of her charitable work with a women who battle breast cancer. I would highly recommend Dr. Collins. Five stars!
