Ali Orthopedics

I saw Dr. Ali in 2013 for a frozen shoulder - no injury, it just suddenly happened but was inconvenient & painful. Dr Ali said that it would resolve by itself, probably in about a year, but physical therapy might shorten the recovery. He said that the good news was that he had never seen a recurrence of spontaneous frozen shoulder in the same arm, so once I healed, that would be it! He wrote me an RX for physical therapy but noted it was at my option. Follow-up visit with him also were optional, though I was free to make future appointments if I had problems or concerns.

I liked that. No pushing for surgery, injections, PT at his practice (I went to a PT place close to my home, more convenient), or multiple follow-up visits. I found the PT copay at our nearby Athletico to be VERY expensive so after my first shocker bill, I reduced the # of visits drastically, noted the exercises, and then continued on my own. As Dr. Ali predicted, the frozen shoulder went away on its own (took about half a year for me), and it never came back.

So far, very pleased with the care I've received from Dr. Ali and his staff. I came in yesterday seeking a consultation about shoulder pain I have due to a fall I experienced several months ago. I've undergone p/t and had an MRI which revealed I had a labral tear. Dr. Ali took the time to review the MRI and thoroughly explained my options. Had a steroid injection and will be monitoring my progress. Dr. Ali made mention that if this didn't work, an arthriscopic surgery could be performed. I'm very confident that he made an accurate and thorough diagnosis. I've seen 2 other orthopedic surgeons who had varying opinions, but both were very cold, dismissive and didn't take the time to fully address my questions or concerns. The 3rd time must be a charm, because Dr. Ali did...he has an excellent bedside manner and his staff is very courteous. I have some other issues I plan on seeing him for in the near future. Just thrilled to have found a doctor that actually listens, and cares about what his patients are experiencing. Thank you Dr. Ali!

Humble, professional, and genuinely interested in promoting a person's wellbeing. Did an excellent surgery job for my injury as well as 2 involved follow-ups. Had great availability for the latter. Staff is friendly and professional as well.

Back in July had right hip replacement.
It's like I never had it done...no pain. Great and compassionate doctor it takes time out to talk to you, and understands how you're feeling.
Now it's my left knee...we planed on the new yr to get this done...but I feel like its going to be sooner. I can't stand on it and there is pain in the middle of my knee. I cannot walk on it it feels weak and I'm afraid I'm going to fall Dr. Ali will fix that too!!!!

Dr Ali did 2 knees and one hip and I can't say enough about how happy I am and how great a job he did. His staff is also wonderful.

I had to get the same surgery done over because his work was sloppy. He put my pelvis together crooked and spread far apart. Dr. Mathew Jimenez fixed me as if I had nothing wrong in the first place. I’m lucky I noticed this on the x rays early and I had the repeat surgery a day or two later. Who knows how bad it could have been if it had grew back that way. I had to argue that my thumb was broken and it stayed broken for over a week. I’m not sure how I got them to do a thorough check but it happened and now I have pain in my thumb and it did not grow back correctly even after surgery (which was performed almost a couple weeks after the fracture). It does not rotate correctly etc. if something had been done right away it might have been a different story. Last but not least my hips had screws put in on either side to secure them while I was healing. That is the only thing that has not been fixed after dr Ali’s and hurts til this day. I am starting to look for doctors to remove it because it hurts so bad. Can’t forget but to mention the thing he screwed in to keep my hips together. I understand it was mandatory but the job was sloppy and on one hip it was constantly leaking. I can’t thing of anything else for now just warning you if you have a major surgery coming up stay far away from dr Ali. I give one star because I didn’t die during surgery.
