SES NY Charity Party sponsored by Best of the Web

**UPDATE: BOTW & IMNY Raise over $16,000 at the SES NY Charity Party**
Through the combined efforts of Best of the Web, the Internet Marketers of New York and all those who attended the SES NY Charity Party, we were able to raise a total of $16,494 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. It was a great night of networking, fundraising and partying. Check out the photos and a full recap of the night's events.

**UPDATE: New Raffle Prizes!**
Feeling lucky? We will be raffling tickets for FOUR upcoming internet marketing conferences. That is over $8,000 dollars of search conference passes being raffled at the BOTW Charity Party. Tickets are only $5 for a chance to win one of the search conference passes that costs over $1000 each.

**UPDATE: We Have a Winner...**
We are happy to announce that all proceeds from the SES NY Charity Party will be donated to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. It was an extremely close race but after weeks of voting, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society edged out the HMBANA Milk Banks by only 2%. Many thanks to everyone who voted and to those who helped increase awareness for this year's charity party. Hope to see you there!

SES NY Charity Party sponsored by Best of the Web

We are happy to welcome the attendees of the 2008 Search Engine Strategies New York conference to the third Internet Marketers of NY Charity Party. Given our previous success, Best of the Web is honored to sponsor another charity event. This time we are letting the search community decide which charity benefits from our collective good. Pick from one of the charities listed below, and whichever one receives the most votes through March 5th will receive all proceeds generated from the event.

Thanks for your support. See you at the party!

HMBANA Milk Banks
The HMBANA milk banks are the only truly non-profit milk banks in North America. These milk banks collect, screen and send out breast milk to micro-preemies and premature infants who were born too early for their mother's to provide them with milk. Unfortunately, the equipment needed to launch and run milk banks is expensive. Milk banking would be a great fit for the SEO industry in my opinion. After all, women love babies and men loves breasts. Seems like one of those charities that makes everyone happy, right?

Camp Interactive
What do high-risk kids and technology have in common? Usually nothing. This is why Camp Interactive exists. The program bridges the digital and leadership divide by introducing the creative power of technology and the inspiration of the outdoors to underprivileged youth in one program. During the summer, the kids go camping, recording their thoughts in ink or digital technology. Back in the city, they take web design and development classes to produce a work about their experience. The kids navigate two different adventures—into the wild and onto the web.

Leukemia and Lymphoma Society
Dedicated to funding blood cancer research to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, sponsors of Light the Night, was a critical informational resource and support structure for me and my family. Now it’s time to give back. 2 years ago I had one hell of a fight on my hands. 7 months of intensive chemo, 3 weeks of radiation, and 18 months later I remain in “first partial remission” with a good prognosis for long term survival. I’m one of the lucky ones.

National Association for Colitis and Crohn's Disease
Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis often start in teenagers and last a lifetime. NACC provides support to those affected and raises funds for research into a cure. It can be a debilitating condition and although I've not had it too bad (touch wood!), I have met many people who have had to put up with chronic pain, considerable inconvenience, and in some cases, major surgery - so I guess this is my way of honouring them and paying back some of that support and goodwill!

We would like to offer special thanks to Search Engine Land and Search Engine Strategies for their invaluable support of this event and for their generous donation of tickets to upcoming SMX and SES conferences.
