The U.S. government lists the top 13 New Year’s resolutions as: lose weight, pay off debt, save money, get a better job, get fit, eat right, get a better education, drink less alcohol, quit smoking, reduce stress overall, reduce stress at work, take a vacation, and volunteer to help others.
Throughout the rest of the world, these same resolutions are quite popular, with additions such as getting married, spending more time with family and friends, enjoy life more, and learn something new. Though these resolutions are varied, they all carry one common thread: hope.
With the arrival of a new year, we’re presented with a clean slate to make of what we choose. Now is the time to get our thoughts organized, decide what we want from 2008, and make efforts to achieve our goals. What’s your New Year’s resolution this year?
