What a rockin’ concept … a green fashion show!
Green-friendly stuff is all over the place these days, but this show is in its fourth year – making it no longer trendy, but responsible. The Ethical Fashion Show believes that sustainability is a fundamental for the long haul and is said to embrace it at its core. Cool.
Designers from all over the world will show their wares, all of which were produced with an emphasis on fair trade, the use of organic fibers and recycling. Designers are expected from countries such as France, Switzerland, Canada, the UK, China, Senegal, Brazil, Chile, Columbia, India, Brazil, Azerbaijan and the US.
The event’s Founder, Isabelle Quehe, says the show pays homage to ancestral textile traditions as well. Each year, the event aims to prove that fair trade and organic designs can be as sexy, trendy, or glamorous as regular fashion.
Want to catch the event? Though it runs for four days (October 11-14, 2007) in Paris, the show is open to professionals and the media for the first three days. The general public is welcome on Sunday for an admission fee.
