If you know your Roman numerals, you know that X stands for ten. And if you know your Australian pop singer trivia, you know that X is the tenth album release for Kylie Minogue. To the many Kylie fans who feel that she’s more than just the Australian version of Madonna the release of this new album today is a major event.

Fans can already get their hands on several different versions of the first single from X, “2 Hearts“. The single has been compared to one of Minogue’s biggest hits, “Can’t Get You Out of My Heart.” That encourages fans to have high hopes for the rest of the new CD.

Kylie’s isn’t the only notable talent on the CD. The tracks that make up X come from the electronica skills of a variety of different musicians. Kish Mauve produced the single track, England’s Adam Wiles can be heard on “In My Arms” and singer-songwriter Karen Poole can be heard on several songs. In fact, about two dozen different talented musicians came together to make Minogue’s new CD stand out. There are even bonus tracks on the Japanese, Taiwanese and iTunes versions of the CD so true fans can get a whole lot of Kylie out of this milestone release.
