Remember the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers? In the 1990s, the Power Rangers were the coolest kids in the world, “teenagers with attitude” who defended Earth from the attacks of the evil witch, Rita Repulsa. This TV show introduced many of us children of the 90s to our first fictional heroes, one of whom was the fantastic Pink Ranger.
Amy Jo Johnson flipped her way into the role of Kim Hart, a gymnast with musical and artistic talent. Kim used her acrobatic skills in conjunction with a bit of kickboxing to beat the bad guys. After three good seasons, Johnson requested to be written off the show, and began pursuing an acting career outside of the Power Rangers.
Born on October 6, 1970, Amy Jo Johnson celebrates her 37th birthday today. Nowadays, the former child star continues to act, but her main passion is her blossoming music career. Let’s all sing Happy Birthday to the birthday girl.
